Nux Mighty Space Amp vs Positive Grid Spark 40
In true Chris's gear fashion I just acquired another amp! The Nux Mighty Space desktop amp. I love the Nux (New X) Mighty Plug Pro headphone amplifier.

In true Chris’s gear fashion I just acquired another amp! The Nux Mighty Space desktop amp. I love the Nux (New X) Mighty Plug Pro headphone amplifier. The Mighty Space is a battery-powered desktop amp. Its closest comparison and competitor would be the Positive Grid Spark 40 Amplifier. They are both great amps. Quick and easy to use that will get you playing more and learning more. This is my first take. I will create a follow review in 30 or so days after I have had the opportunity to use the amp more.

▶ Playing my Heritage H-150 guitar through both amps clean. Spark 40 first.
▶ Playing my Heritage H-150 guitar through both amps using Hi-Gain tones. Spark 40 First
Overall thoughts - I think the Nux Mighty Space sounds a bit better, especially when playing clean tones. It is more portable and versatile as compared to the Spark. However, it is nearly twice the cost. The Spark 40 wins the software category. Positive Grid has built a great learning platform when using the companion app. While the Nux Mighty Space app is meant to merely control the amp settings. The app is very powerful. Even more powerful if you download the 3rd party Mightier Amp app foriOS or Google Play. Neither amp are meant to be a dedicated Bluetooth speaker for streaming music. However, the Mighty Space sounds better in this regard. It is simply less muddy sounding with better highs.
If you don’t own either amp and want an amp with lots of versatility I would consider the Nux Mighty Space. If you are looking for an amp with a learning platform go with the Spark.
