Roland just released the new GO:MIXER Studio (GO for short). It is a great device to capture your guitar playing and share that via YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc. The setup is easy, the menus are intuitive and you can be up and running in a matter of minutes. Two quick videos are included with this review. One showing an actual recording and one with a quick walkthrough of how the GO works. Street price is currently $299 as of March 2026. I purchased my GO from Sweetwater.com.
For a very long time I have been looking for a better way to record record my guitar playing. Both for fun and to help students. The GO is the latest version of a compact and portable mixer for musicians. On the road I will use this with either my Tonex Plug or Tonex One. At home I will use it with my Head Rush Core multi-effects platform. I have never enjoyed producing video content but that GO makes it extremely easy to do. You can also export the individual audio tracks “stems” to your favorite DAW.
