Throughout my guitar and flying journey I have owned different travel guitars. All came with compromises. Either they weren’t balanced, didn’t play well, were still too big to take on a regular basis, you name it. Then one day I heard about the Ciari Ascender Guitar. This is a NO compromise professional instrument. Other than the headstock being slightly smaller than normal it is a standard sized guitar. Mine has 2 Seymour Duncan SB59 Pickups but there are other models with either a single P90 or dual P90’s. You can customize them as well and have your favorite pickup(s) installed.

I use this on the road in conjunction with either my Nux Mighty Plug Pro headphone amp or my Spark Go amp. You can record with either of these devices. Simply plug them into your laptop or iPad and away you go. I keep things simple using GarageBand but many DAW options are available.

The guitar easily fits underneath the seat in back or up front in the flight deck.

I have owned this guitar since August of 2023 and it has been nothing but fantastic. Rarely do I go on a work trip where this guitar is not with me.

Common questions:

Do you feel the hinge? There answer is yes and no. While yes you can feel it, no it does not impede playing in the least or bother me.
Does it stay in tune? Yes! Like any guitar that moves from place to place you only have to make minor adjustments. Usually less than a 1/4 of a turn.
Do it require special strings? No, standard strings work just fine. The guitar comes with D’Addario NYXL .10-.46.
Take my money! How much? Prices start at $1599.
$1599 for a travel guitar? Well it is a real guitar that travels better than any. I personally decided to make an investment in my ability to play on the road with no regrets.
